Strategic Deposit Taking Sacco Ltd is seeking to hire energetic and result oriented people in the following positions;

1. FINANCE OFFICER –  EXPIRED!!!

The Finance Officer will manage Financial Reconciliation, Cash flow, Payroll, Financial Reporting, Asset Register, Financial Records and Liaison with External Auditors and Banks.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the company financial and accounting policies are implemented correctly.
• Ensuring the integrity of the financial data in the accounting software.
• Implementing internal control frameworks, with adequate checks and balances, to mitigate against the risk of fraud or error.
Also, recommending policies and procedures to be adopted for proper accounting
• Posting any adjusting entries for month end and a full review of the accounts, with explanations for any trend changes or differences to budget (where applicable).
• Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the board (consolidated financial reports
• Preparing annual draft accounts, working with external auditors and providing any assistance required in carrying out annual financial audits.
• Prepare cheques and bank payments for the management
• Preparing weekly short-term cash flow forecasts for management/board
• Carrying out month end procedures and preparing monthly financial reports on Sacco performance
• Carrying out debt management for the Sacco
• Ensuring that the company is fully compliant with all tax and financial obligations as per the legislation and regulations of Kenya. (Filing of statutory and annual returns)
• Preparing and processing payroll for payment purposes.
• Review statutory obligations processes – filing VAT 3, PAYE, withholding taxes, NSSF, NHIF, HELB payments.
• Ensuring all documents are filed in an organized manner and are easy to retrieve.
• Keep safely all the financial records
• Maintenance of a fixed assets register.
• Preparing monthly reports and submits the same to the senior level management.
Job Requirements
• Degree in Finance or Accounting
• CPA (K), ACCA or CIFA
• 3-4 years’ experience in a busy Finance Department.
• Age: 25-35-year-old
• Excellent Communication skills
• Team player
• Ability to deliver without close supervision
• Ability to write and present reports

2. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER –  EXPIRED!!!

The Business Development Officer will be in charge of Sales and Marketing of the Sacco products.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze current and past financial data, such as sales reports, and provide strategies to cut costs and increase revenue for the Sacco.
• Perform market research to identify new opportunities and engage with sales and marketing team to establish strategies for pursuing those new opportunities for the Sacco.
• Create and improve proposals for our existing and new membership.
• Prepare the Sacco Sales and Marketing budget and continually track expenses, as well as make sure we’re on track to hit revenue targets.
• Provide training and mentoring to members of the sales and marketing team.
• In charge of Sacco Social Media content generation and postings
• Make and increase product sales for the organization
• Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
• Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities on behalf of the Sacco.
Job Requirements
• Degree/Diploma in any business related subject
• 4-5 years’ experience in sales and Marketing
• Team player
• Ability to deliver without close supervision
• Ability to write and present reports
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Great leadership and supervisory skills.
• Top-notch analytical skills — you must have an eye for detail!
• The ability to travel to meet clients, attend conferences and research new markets.
• Ability to develop social media content 

3. SALES AND MARKETING EXECUTIVES –  EXPIRED!!!

Sales and marketing Executives will be in charge of recruiting new members and generation of new business from the existing members
Key Responsibilities
• Marketing the various products and services of the SACCO through Prospecting, Sales presentations and telesales, representing the SACCO in exhibitions, conferences and any other forums while creating, maintaining and improving the SACCO market niche and image
• Coming up with better marketing strategies in order to increase the members base
• Provide customer service to Members to ensure their satisfaction
• Daily reports on your portfolio including any challenges and recommendations
• Come up with creative ways on how well to satisfy Members
• Managing a portfolio of Sales accounts
• Development of a monthly sales plan
• Using an existing network of industry contacts to get new members
• Attending training with other members of the account team to align with emerging sales trends.
• Ensuring necessary actions are undertaken generate new sales
• Building a ‘territory’ and a client base
• Achieving sales targets
• Delivering sales presentations to high-level executives.
• Attending client meetings
• Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing Members
• Completing sales administrative work.
• Making sales reports
Job Requirement
• Degree/Diploma in any business related subject
• 3 years’ experience in sales and Marketing
• Self-motivation
• Integrity
• Ability to reflect on one’s own work as well as the wider consequences of financial decisions
